Aigerim is currently studying Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government. She holds a first class degree in International and Comparative Politics from the American University of Central Asia. She worked in various development projects including USAID funded Good Governance and Public Administration Strengthening Program and Transition Initiative in Kyrgyzstan aimed at assisting the Government to deliver public services more effectively and efficiently. Having collaborated with various governmental agencies and NGOs, she later joined the Public Association 'Childhood without Diabetes'. In her role as a Project Manager she coordinated the implementation of a grass-root project funded by the World Diabetes Foundation on raising awareness, patient empowerment and multi-sector cooperation.
She is very interested in social impact investment and outcomes based commissioning, the alternative financing mechanisms needed in resource constrained settings for improving health outcomes of patients with long term conditions. As a GO Lab summer project intern, she would like to build on her previous experiences to enhance her theoretical knowledge, as well as bridge the gap between research and policy making in health care sector.
