Each year the Government Outcomes Lab appoints a small group of leading practitioners from across the public, private and voluntary sectors to support our mission  to advance research and practice in how governments tackle complex social needs.

The position of Fellow of Practice is pro-bono, and Fellows contribute to our work in many different ways, from providing input into our research and analytical work, speaking at our events, authoring and reviewing papers, and sharing learning to strengthen the global community of practitioners. In 2020 we will be joined by nine Fellows of Practice whose expertise spans a range of sectors and countries. What they all share is a deep commitment to public service and to improving social outcomes for those most vulnerable in society.

We are truly honoured to be bringing together an outstanding group of practitioners from across the world. Through their deep knowledge, expertise and practical insights, the Fellows of Practice help ensure the work of the GO Lab remains firmly anchored and responsive to the needs of practitioners and government officials.
Dr Mara Airoldi, GO Lab Director

The Fellows of Practice come from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. They include: international development leaders who have championed innovative models of funding social programmes in low- and middle-income countries; policy-makers who are championing evidence-based approaches to policy development; and practitioners with decades of experience in helping improve public services.

This year's GO Lab Fellows of Practice are:

The British Asian Trust is committed to building a dynamic outcomes funding ecosystem in South Asia. This Fellowship offers us the opportunity to share evidence, learn from colleagues and researchers to collectively build the field in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Abha Thorat-Shah, British Asian Trust Executive Director (Social Finance)

We look forward to working with the 2020 Fellows of Practice and would like to thank the  2019 Fellows  for their immense contributions to the GO Lab over the past year.
