The Big Lottery Fund (BLF), ATQ consultants and Ecorys have published an in depth review for the Commissioning Better Outcomes Fund Evaluation. This review is on the HCT Independent Travel Training Social Impact Bond.
The HCT Independent Travel Training Social Impact Bond seeks to support young people with Special Education needs or Disabilities (SEND) travel more independently on public transport, improving their independence and wellbeing and enhancing their life chances as they become adults. The SIB is intended to independent travel training provided by HCT Group, on a significant scale with a number of commissioners.
This publication looks at how the SIB works, what are the successes, what are the challenges, and what are the lessons learned.
BLF wrote a guest blog piece and you can read it here 'A tale of two SIBs - and why they matter'
